Anhand dieses Verfahrens können nachgiebig verbundene Schicht-Querschnitte berechnet werden. Der Grundgedanke des Verfahrens ist, einen Querschnitt in einen ideellen Rechenquerschnitt zu überführen. Dieser Rechenquerschnitt besteht aus den Ebenen A und B, deren Verschiebungen gekoppelt sind. Ebene A ist dabei schubstarr, ihr werden die Eigenanteile der Flächenträgheitsmomente zugeordnet. Ebene B ist schubweich, ihr werden die Steineranteile zugeordnet. Die Nachweise werden nach der aktuellen Zulassung geführt.
